Foster + Partners Industrial Design and Molteni&C have had a longstanding partnership that began with the Still sofa in 2006, and extended to the Elements range for UniFor, Molteni's sister company. This collaboration led to Ava, a timber dining table that pushes the limits of craft and timber engineering.
The Ava table is inspired by the elegant forms of aircraft wings and bridges, it features two modular segments–a middle section and a cantilevered end–that can be combined to create tables of varying lengths. Its minimalist design highlights a bridge-like structure with refined detailing, while shadow gaps between sections reference architectural traditions.
Ava balances aesthetic and functional excellence. Its cantilevered ends extend up to one metre while maintaining stability, and sculpted legs taper gracefully from top to bottom. Available in walnut and eucalyptus finishes, it comes in three standard sizes–2.9, 3.4, and 3.8 metres–making it ideal for both domestic and commercial settings.
