The Foster 500/505 series, developed collaboratively with Walter Knoll, comprises leather chairs, sofas, benches, and glass tables. Originally created for the Reichstag in Berlin, the range has evolved into a modular system offering flexibility and precision. The range has been meticulously crafted with attention to detail, achieving an elegant balance of form and functionality.
Each series in the range builds on the concept of modularity. The Foster 500 line offers broader seat depths and wider armrests, complemented by loose seat and back cushions for added comfort. The compact Foster 501 retains the loose seat cushion while introducing a fixed backrest, making it ideal for smaller spaces. The Foster 503 series reinterprets the design for residential interiors, with softer upholstery and relaxed proportions inspired by the Italian living platform concept.
This system is available in a variety of materials and finishes and enables bespoke configurations, from spacious lounges to intimate seating arrangements, while its enduring quality and timeless aesthetic make it suitable for both residential and commercial settings.
