Designed by Foster + Partners Industrial Design for Poltrona Frau, the Thea armchair redefines auditorium seating to seamlessly integrate within architectural spaces. Balancing between subtle anonymity and unique character, the armchair complements the building's design while maintaining its own identity. Thea's geometry is supported by refined details, including a hidden pivot point, a metal foot and a distinctively shaped rear panel, contributing to its adaptability to meet different spatial requirements.
Engineered for flexibility and user comfort, the seat and back can be adjusted to meet specific project needs. Thea's hidden pivot mechanism ensures an elegant profile, while its compact design allows the seat to a vertical position.
Crafted from dried seasoned solid beech, the system is customisable with finishes in powder-coated or chrome options. Its fire-resistant padding is supported by an elastic spring system providing optimal comfort and durability. Upholstery options include premium Pelle Frau® leather, fabric or velvet, allowing for a high degree of customisation to suit diverse projects and performance requirements.
